LG 47LK520 GOOD VALUE.
I will not get real technical like some of the other reviews I have read. In a word this is an excellent. The picture is impressive and the 42 inch screen is very dramatic to me. The set took a couple of minutes to set up to my AT&T U-Verse box and go through the process of setting the TV to the signal. Instructions were simple to follow and the TV was light compared to my old picture tube set. The remote control is simple to use and works without any problem. The TV is very attractive and looks and feels well made. The only slight issue is that the sound has to be raised really high compared to my old set. This is a minor point. In all an excellent value for what I purchased. My only regret is that I did not do it sooner.

I'm very happy with this tv. Excellent picture. One thing I recommend is to either turn off or set to minimum/medium the automatic energy saver in picture mode. It tends to under adjust the picture brilliance as the light varies in the room. Also, it would be nice to have an audio output other than just optical. But overall, a great tv for a great price!

LG 47LK520 VERY GOOD HDTV
A very good HDTV.
The 1st one we received was damaged... (that was a bummer)but it was replaced a week later.

This TV is an upgrade from an ancient 27" monster! It's now actually a pleasant experience to enjoy a movie -- the colors are great, and the size (although small by today's standards) is perfect for family viewing. Also has a good assortment of input/output options.

This TV has the best picture and sound of any TV I've seen under $600. I purchased the LG 42LV4400 (similarly priced and equiped TV) and sent it right back. Ordered this one (which cost something like $20 more), and absolutely love it. The picture quality is great and audio is fine. After spending weeks looking, I'm glad I ended up with this one!

We were looking for a new TV and did not want to spend a huge amount. This TV had all the features we wanted - for a great price. Amazon had a special in Jaunary that gave us 10% off - plus the TV was on sale. This TV was retailing for over $700 and in some stores they wanted just over $800. Amazon's sale price was great plus the 10% off made for a great deal.
The shipping was free - and was done by a professional crew. No issues at all. The TV setup was simple - the picture is fantasitic - and the size is perfect - not too big - but big enough to really enjoy. We really love this TV and would purchase it again. I recommend this TV for this class and size as probably the best value. You will not be disappointed.

Our church bought this TV to put into our Music Suite to play DVDs and present any kinds of media on it, and we are very pleased with it. The picture is excellent, seems to be no lag at all, the screen isn't too reflective, and overall this is the best TV we found for the money. We're always pleased with Amazon's shipping and the way they take care of us with great customer service, so I highly recommend this TV!

Unit shipped the same day it was ordered and was ready for delivery eight days later. The "white glove" service is great -- they assemble the stand (yes, it's a bit flimsy) and stay until the unit is connected and shows a picture. Set-up was extremely easy.
Picture is good, but not mind-blowing. Still, seems terrific bang for the buck. Wizards make adjusting a breeze. Like many others, I find that the power save and tru-motion features are best turned off. Customizable zoom is a very likeable feature!
Audio is just okay, but I'm intent on routing through my stereo receiver and speakers. Note that this unit has only digital audio output, meaning you'll need a converter and toslink cable if your receiver doesn't have that input (like mine). The two products were $25 on Amazon.
An absence of frills, a cheap stand, and a picture that is good, not crazy-good, but the picture wizards and custom zoom earn the fifth star. A week later, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I bought this for 3 reasons:
1. Cost
2. No interest in 3D (3d hurts my eyes after just a few minutes)
3. Size (55 inch)
Caution: Use the built in tuning wizard immediately.
When I first turned the TV I thought it was "OK" but not great. I tried all of the audio adjustments and I began to wonder if I had made a big mistake. Then I used the wizard to fine tune my settings. This created a custom settings and the image quality was great. I love the picture now.
Everything else works well but for me, I really only care about the quality of the HD picture.
